The Bazzite Linux team continue powering through getting lots of updates since the recent major Bazzite 44 release for handhelds. Seems we may see weekly updates for a while, after the last update there were still a number of issues to sort.

Announced in a post on their forum, below is all the changes. They additionally said "We’re still hard at work on desktop TDP control, fan control, ASUS Ally RGB control, and any/all of your reports over the last couple of weeks. Thank you all again for submitting those reports, it helps a lot".

Key changes
  • Some issues with flickering or cutting-out displays under VRR/HDMI2.1 on AMD have been resolved!
  • OGUI now offers the option to toggle both TDP Boost & SMT on all supported handhelds.
    • As a reminder, TDP controls can be found in the Steam QAM under the TDP Limit toggle when performance profile is set to Performance/Custom.
  • Numerous additional handhelds have had TDP control added with more to follow.
  • An issue where Ally X handhelds could refuse to sleep if the controller was used during the sleep animation has been resolved.
  • Resolved an issue where some devices were wrongly emulating a steam deck controller, preventing Steam + A/B shortcuts from working as intended.
    • If you’re still having issues with this reach out to us for direct support.
  • InputPlumber has been updated to it’s latest version
    • Additional handhelds have had input support added to them or improved, from manufacturers including:
      • ASUS.
      • AYN.
      • Ayaneo.
      • GPD.
      • KONKR.
      • OneXPlayer.
    • As a reminder, if you’re having issues with desktop control you can resolve it by opening Steam on the desktop and browsing to Settings -> Controller -> Show Advanced Settings -> Desktop Layout
      • We recommend binding X to open keyboard, setting up joystick mouse, and binding your triggers to left/right mouse buttons.
  • Linux Kernel 7.2.3.
  • OpenRazer is now packaged in Terra and the install command for it will automatically remove the old repo when ran.
