M80 Acquires Boston Breach CDL Franchise as League Ends Guaranteed Team Revenue

M80 has acquired the Boston Breach franchise and will enter the Call of Duty League as M80 Boston, a transaction the organization describes as the largest commitment in its history.According to the announcement, the deal adds Call of Duty to a competitive portfolio that already spans Counter-Strike 2, VALORANT, Rainbow Six Siege, Rocket League and 2XKO. Asked by The Esports Advocate, the company identified it. “The sale of the franchise slot was done by the Oxygen CDL entity,” said Adam Morrison, who joins M80 as chief commercial officer as part of the transaction.
