Become The Best Tag Dueling Team In Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force GX On Nintendo Switch

Konami Digital Entertainment has announced that Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force GX is in development for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch.

This has seen the developer remake Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Tag Force 3, which was originally released for PlayStation Portable in 2008.

Remade with modern visuals, enhanced Dueling and cards from the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime era, you can relive your final year at Duel Academy, study the art of Tag Dueling, and select your own partner from over 100 visually upgraded characters to conquer opponents as a Dueling duo.

The publisher has outlined the game’s key features, which include:

• Unleash your inner HERO!: Classic Dueling is back and rebuilt with over 3,800 cards, including additional fan-favourite cards beyond those featured in the original Yu-Gi-Oh! GX TAG FORCE 3. Build a Deck and develop unique strategies to secure victory.
• Class is in Session: Enjoy student life at Duel Academy and explore, investigate, and expand your extracurricular activities with new and renewed mini-games.
• Duel the World!: Duelists can enter a Casual Duel or Room Match to enjoy both Tag and 1v1 Duels with Online Multiplayer!
• Gallery Mode: Reminisce with story scenes from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX TAG FORCE 1 and Yu-Gi-Oh! GX TAG FORCE 2.

The physical edition will include three special cards from the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, two of which make their physical debut 20 years after their respective debuts in the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime:

• Yubel (Starlight Rare) – The powerful “Yubel” descends once again to rewrite history with a stellar alternate artwork.
• Wicked Canon (Ultra Rare) – The countdown to your opponent’s destruction begins with the debut of “Wicked Canon”.
• Hope for the Future (Ultra Rare) – Call upon the power of Elemental HERO Neos with the all-new card “Hope for the Future”.

Those who pre-order the game digitally on the Nintendo eShop will receive a Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel code that unlocks Yubel, Wicked Canon and Hope for the Future digital cards, and a Winged Kuriboh Mate.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force GX will be released at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch worldwide on 16 February 2027.
