Top 20 fastest players in FC 27

To find out who the fastest players are, you primarily need to look at their Pace stat which governs the sub-stats of Acceleration and Sprint Speed. The higher these all are, the faster the player moves and the quicker they reach full speed. Certain PlayStyles are essential to watch out for too since they too come with speed-related bonuses, for example Quick Step in which a player gets even faster acceleration during Explosive Sprint.

To run through the fastest players, we're focusing first on those that have PlayStyles such as Quick Step, Relentless (more fatigue recovery at halftime), Rapid (higher speed while dribbling), and more. In the table below, we'll include all relevant PlayStyles alongside each player, with an explanation afterwards delving into the best of the best.

We're also highlighting each player's Pace, Stamina and Overall rating. Depending on how you're playing your squad or where you're placing your players, you might favour Stamina over inherent speed. It's worth checking on players Stamina in general if they're likely to be running around a lot.

As I'm sure those invested into football already know, the fastest player in EA Sports FC 27 is Kylian Mbappé. With the highest Pace stat in the game, no other player can keep up - quite literally! Not just that, but he also has key PlayStyles like Quick Step+, First Touch and Rapid which only boost his mobility during matches.

Karim Adeyemi and Gabriel Silva are close in second and third place, both with 95 pace, but they do lack the same overall rating Mbappé has. The former is rated 82, and the latter 74. Still, whilst they might not sport the best rating overall, they are still well worth considering if you're in need of a speedy Right Midfielder or Left Winger.

Alternate picks not included in the above table due to them lacking the higher tier of PlayStyles are players such as Oliver Burke, a Striker for Union Berlin who has a pace of 95 (rated 73 overall), and Sirlord Conteh - also a Striker - who plays for Heidenheim, with 95 Pace and 69 overall. Though whilst they are fast, they unfortunately aren't quite on the same level overall as best Strikers.

Top 20 fastest Defenders in FC 27

To go alongside the listings above that feature a variety of fast players across all positions, we wanted to give a deeper look at defenders in particular, who can come in especially handy for counter-attacks and more. If you're building an all-star team, depending on your formation and custom tactics, you may want fast defenders who can move up and around the pitch as and when the moment calls for action.

When it comes to fastest Defenders, we are ordering them once again by Pace. Whilst this list is fairly comprehensive for the position, it doesn't have many Centre-Backs, and so to ensure you've got a good variety of options across the board, we've thrown together an extra couple of lists below this table that run through the top 10 from both the Centre-Back position and Women's Leagues too. All together, these should ensure you have players to consider regardless of the mode you're playing or position you're looking for.

Though the overall ratings fluctuate mostly between the mid-60s and high 80s, there's a pretty wide pool of high-pace defenders. With such a wide spectrum, there are actually many decent choices for teams of all budgets.

The best all-round pick right now would be Nuno Mendes, who is rated 94 in Pace, and 89 overall. He also has Quick Step+, giving him faster acceleration during Explosive Sprint. This is alongside other handy PlayStyles like Jockey and Rapid which only further improve on his existing pace. Mendes is fairly expensive though, but other defenders such as Andrei Rațiu, Jeremie Frimpong, and Jackson Tchatchoua are all solid picks in their own right. Whilst their ratings are a little more mixed, their pace remains high and are great choices for up-and-coming squads on a tighter budget.

As mentioned, we've expanded our coverage on defence further to create two additional lists below that showcase even more of the fastest players, covering womens' leagues, and the entire Centre-Defence position.

Top 10 fastest Centre-Backs in FC 27

To provide a look at the defensive space in womens' leagues, we've put together a list of the top 10 players there too. Many of these once again have some of those key PlayStyles we mentioned earlier, but most importantly, they have high pace stats and just like this space across the board, it's quite competitive.
