Snoop Dogg has officially entered the world of assassination, with HITMAN World of Assassination’s new celebrity Elusive Target mission now live for a limited time.
The Herbalist is available from today, August 27, until September 26, 2026, and can be played by existing HITMAN World of Assassination owners or through the game’s Free Demo.

Snoop Dogg lends his likeness and voice to the mission, while his son Cordell C. Broadus also appears as a guest at its lavish Haven Island party. It marks the first time a father and son have appeared together in the HITMAN franchise.
Unfortunately for Cane, evidence suggests the cookies have been linked to several deaths during product testing. Agent 47 therefore has two objectives: permanently deal with Cane and make sure the product itself disappears before its planned global launch.
Cane is throwing a pre-launch party on Haven Island, which naturally gives 47 plenty of opportunities to get creative with the assignment. Players will need access to the Haven Island location in order to take part.
Snoop Dogg described appearing in HITMAN as an “honor” and challenged players to see how much style they can bring to taking down Cane.
“It’s definitely an honor to step into a franchise as legendary as HITMAN, with millions of fans,” he said. “IO Interactive cooked up a truly fine mission, and bringing my son Cordell along for the ride? That’s awesome.”
HITMAN’s Season of the Herbalist begins
Snoop’s arrival also kicks off a new Season of the Herbalist roadmap for HITMAN World of Assassination, bringing additional free content over the coming weeks.
That includes two new challenges, more Featured Contracts, Twitch Drops, IOI Account Rewards, and returning Elusive Targets including The Undying Returns.
New challenges include Bloom Where You Are Planted on Ambrose Island and Fortune Favors the Bald at Hokkaido’s GAMA Private Hospital.
Players will also be able to pick up new Twitch Drop rewards including the Purple Streak Proximity Explosive and Green Grapes.
The Herbalist Pack adds permanent Snoop Dogg content
Anyone wanting to keep some of the Snoop Dogg-themed content beyond the limited-time Elusive Target window can also buy The Herbalist Pack.
Priced at £6.99 / $7.99 / €7.99, the DLC includes permanent access to The Visionary, a two-level Arcade contract based around The Herbalist, alongside The Herbalist Assignment and 16 associated challenges.
Four new Freelancer Safehouse cosmetic items inspired by the mission are included too.
The Herbalist Pack is available now on supported platforms, although the Nintendo Switch 2 version will arrive slightly later on September 4.
HITMAN World of Assassination is available across PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, alongside iPhone, iPad, Apple silicon Macs and supported VR platforms.
