Star Wars Galaxies Legends teases a new Halloween heroic and weekly repeatable

Star Wars Galaxies was actually one of the first MMORPGs to offer randomized, repeatable content through its mission system, so you might be surprised to hear that the current dev team behind the Star Wars Galaxies Legends rogue server is currently working on repeatable content that goes way beyond mission terminals. In fact, the upcoming repeatable content system and its board o’ quests is the subject of the game’s latest dev blog.

“Dubbed Weekly Hunts, this board will allow players to grab a variety of ground and space quests and begin working on their own or with friends to complete the hunts,” the devs write this week. “Some hunts may be simple and able to be done on your own, hunting Tier-5 Rebel Starships for example. Some, however, will be harder and require players to work together. Gather your friends and comrades as you hunt the Sith Shadow Cult, or take down the Terentatek. Players will be able to work for the Rodian Kriitz Baelna on a Weekly Hunt quest that when completed will also give a crate of different rewards.” Notably, these quests will work for low-level characters, too.

Additional teases in the newsletter include the devs’ ongoing work on the UI, installation footprints (oh please let them be fixing factories), new Mando armor, a new storyline with a new character droid and starfighter, and oh yeah, Halloween. In fact, it looks as if the “regular” zombies aren’t the only thing players will need to worry about during this year’s Galactic Moon Festival, which apparently features creepy zombie droid hybrid monstrosities in the new heroic dungeon that looks like a new spin on the old IG-88 heroic – or so the trailer hints.
