Cronos: The New Dawn Update Adds Photo Mode Just In Time For Halloween

Bloober Team has announced the release of a free update for Cronos: The New Dawn for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S, which comes packing a Photo Mode — perfect timing ahead of Halloween for those extra spooky snaps!

Photo Mode gives you free rein of the game’s characters and environments to create some snazzy photos, with various settings able to be tinkered with so you can tailor your shot to your liking. In addition to Photo Mode, the new Cronos: The New Dawn patch implements a range of fixes and improvements, such as the ability to skip cut scenes, HDR balancing, and more.

“Freeze any moment in Cronos: The New Dawn and make it yours. Shape the shot with exposure, contrast, and bloom. Go further with advanced options like film grain and color fringing. Finish it with effects and stickers. Every setting is built to bend to your vision. Do it this Halloween, as Pumpkin Head, remember to activate the skin in the game menu in the ‘Extras’ section,” reads the official press release.

Cronos: The New Dawn was released in September 2025 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. The game follows an agent of the mysterious Collective known as the Traveler, who is dispatched on a mission known as the Vocation. Here, you must survive the hazards of a post-apocalyptic landscape to unearth points to travel pack in time to 1980s Poland, where you must extract people who failed to survive a cataclysmic event known as The Change.
